Now that
this experience is coming to an end - ten days left, I must say that I am very happy
to have decided to live it.
These two
months I have been very happy, the family have received me as a member of their
family. We have talked about everything, they have shared with me their culture,
their way of life and all they have made of this experience a unique experience
that I will never forget.
During these
two months I have lived with two lovely children. It has been wonderful, we have
played, laughed, danced, etc. For me it has been a fun time and I am going to
miss them a lot.
I came with
my Spanish friend Alba to this adventure and thanks to it everything has been easier.
We have shared everything and we have supported in the difficult times, also I
meet new friends Monica and Paula and I hope to continue the relationship in
Valencia. And the opportunity to meet other cultures like France or Czech Republic
thanks to friends like Adela and Mael.
My adaptation
has been much easier thanks to my host family. I have told them everything and they
have explained and answered all my qüestions. The most difficult and what I
have not yet got used to it, the UK weather so different from Spain.
In English,
I think I have learned a lot, that I have improved the oral one and I have expanded
my vocabulary. I have also learned about English culture, I have lived for two months
immersed in this culture, and it is not the same as coming a week on holidays.
From this trip
I also take all the places that I have visited. Old and historic towns such as
York, Bath... Famous cities such as Liverpool and Manchester... Edinburgh which
is a beautiful city, with lots of magic and to which I hope to return to Valencia.
I will spend a couple of days in London.
In
conclusion, considered that I have been very lucky. I have been with a
wonderful host family, with lovely and fun kids, I have enjoyed the time here a
lot, I have met very good friends, I have known the English culture and cultures
of other countries, I have improved my English, both oral and written, and I
have visited many places in a very short time.
I wish I
could live this experience again and I hope to enjoy the week and a half I have
left here.
